Privacy and cookie policy
This one page covers everything: what personal information we collect, why we have it, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can make us do about it. Cookies are part of that story rather than a separate document, because keeping two policies in step is how they end up contradicting each other.
The short version
We run a small consultancy website. We do not run a server, host a database, sell anything online or hold customer accounts. What we do collect is analytics about visits, whatever you send us when you book a consultation or email us, and the ordinary logs our host keeps to serve the site. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we never load Google Analytics unless you say yes.
Who is responsible?
One Eleven (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party under POPIA and the data controller under the GDPR. Our registered address is in Cape Town, South Africa. Questions, requests and complaints go to our Information Officer at info@oneeleven.tech.

Giving us any of this is voluntary. Nothing on this site is compulsory to supply, and the only consequence of withholding it is that we cannot do the thing you asked for, such as holding a meeting or replying to you. We collect all of it from you directly. We do not buy contact lists, we do not enrich what you give us from third-party sources, and we do not make automated decisions or profile you.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store. Related technologies, such as local storage, do the same job in a different way. We treat both the same way here, because the law is concerned with what gets stored on your device rather than what it is called.
Do we ask for your consent?
Yes, for anything that is not strictly necessary. Analytics cookies load only after you choose "Accept" on the banner. If you decline, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. Strictly necessary storage — the record of your own choice — is set without consent, because without it we could not honour a decline.

What about analytics that set no cookies?
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics as our always-on baseline. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not track you across sites or build a profile of you, so it does not require your consent. It does process your IP address and request details in order to produce aggregate visit counts. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site performs, and you can object to that processing using the contact details above.
What about the booking links?
Our "Book a free consultation" buttons are ordinary links that take you to Cal.com, a third-party scheduling service. Cal.com is not embedded in this site and sets no cookies here. Once you land on their page you are on their service, and their own cookie and privacy terms apply to what happens there. The booking details that reach us afterwards are covered by the table above.
How do I change or withdraw my cookie choice?
Use the button below. It reopens the banner so you can change your answer at any time, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Withdrawing stops any further analytics cookies from being set and clears the ones already on your device. It does not undo processing that already happened while your consent was active.
We will also ask you again after 12 months so your choice does not stand indefinitely. You can delete the cookies already on your device through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block cookies entirely, though doing so may affect other websites.
Is any information sent outside South Africa?
Yes. Google, Cloudflare and Cal.com all operate globally, so your information may be processed in the United States, the European Union and elsewhere. These transfers rely on the providers' contractual data-protection commitments, including Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. This satisfies section 72 of POPIA and Chapter V of the GDPR.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How do we keep it safe?
This site is static, so there is no database of yours for anyone to breach here. What we hold sits in the accounts of the providers listed above, protected by their security and by multi-factor authentication on our side. If a breach ever affected your information, POPIA section 22 requires us to notify you and the Information Regulator, and we would.
What are your rights?
Under POPIA and, where it applies to you, the GDPR, you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, withdraw consent, ask us to restrict what we do with it, and in some cases ask for your data in a portable format. Email info@oneeleven.tech and we will respond within the time limits the law sets. Exercising any of these costs you nothing.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you can complain to your local data protection supervisory authority instead.
Changes to this policy
If we start collecting something new, add a cookie, or bring in a new third-party service, we will update this page and the tables above, change the date at the top, and ask for your consent again where the change requires it.
